Designing Materials that Heal, Modulate, and Transform

Opportunities

We’re actively recruiting team members at all levels across a range of disciplines, including materials science, biomaterials, bioengineering, chemistry, glycoscience, immunology, microbiology, and cancer research. If you’re interested in joining a collaborative and interdisciplinary environment, we’d love to hear from you!

Graduate Students

Graduate students already admitted to MIT and HST, please reach out to Tania directly. We’d love to work with you!

Prospective students should apply to MIT through the appropriate department. Please note that individual faculty do not make admissions decisions and cannot provide feedback on application materials. We’d be happy to connect after your formal admission.

Postdoctoral Fellows and Associates

If you’re interested, please contact Tania directly with your CV, your most relevant publications, and a 1-page statement describing your relevant research experience and achievements, current research interests, and what you hope to accomplish and learn during your postdoctoral fellowship.

Undergraduate Students

MIT undergraduates interested in joining the lab should explore opportunities through the MIT UROP program or reach out directly to Prof. Lopez Silva with a 1-page summary of their interests, goals, and timeline.

For non-MIT students, we encourage you to apply for excellent research programs such as MSRP!
